Where: The Quidditch Pitch
When: February 2020 (third year)

It wasn't the morning bell that woke Scorpius up, but the sound of laughter and raised voices coming from the common room. Blinking, Scorpius reached for his glasses and threw open the canopy curtains with an annoyed look in his face. It was a Saturday morning, everyone's morning to sleep in. He stalked out of the dormitory room thinking that a well-placed glare or threats of a few cracked heads might quiet down the ruckus in the common room, but by the time he got there, standing in the doorway in his pajamas, he could see that any hope of getting back to sleep would be futile.

The sixth and seventh years, boys and girls alike, had awoken and decked the common room in green and silver banners. Some of them sparkled and shimmered, others just flashed or had moving text and cartoons drawn on them, bearing witty slogans such as "GRYFFINDOR SUCKS SLYTHERIN'S SNAKE" and "GRYFFINDOR WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FIND A SNITCH IF IT FLEW UP THEIR ARSE." Evidently Scorpius had forgotten that today was the big day that Slytherin played Gryffindor for a shot at the Cup against Hufflepuff. Some clever student had somehow managed to smuggle an entire keg of butterbeer into the common room, and cups were being conjured freely as the students passed around the good cheer. At eight o'clock in the morning.

"Hey, Scorpius!" Inigo Nott, a seventh year, spotted Scorpius in the doorway. He waved his wand and snatched a freshly summoned tankard of the air. "How 'bout some butterbeer before the game?"

Scorpius pushed his glasses up, trying to look severe. "The game doesn't start until eleven, Nott."

Nott shrugged and took a swig out of the tankard in his other hand. Rogir Kerrigor, the Head Boy of Hogwarts walked over and practically jumped on Inigo, throwing a hand about his shoulders and grinned like an idiot at Scorpius.

"Never too early to start a party is what I say!" he said, and raised his mug. "Even if you're just a third year. Cheers to a Slytherin victory, mates!" Everyone in the room with a glass dropped their conversation and shouted, "cheers!" Mugs clinked loudly and butterbeer spilled on the Slytherin rugs as students took swigs and urged each other to "Chug! Chug! Chug!" If the rest of the Slytherin hadn't been awake, they surely were now.

"Here," Nott ran over to keg and refilled both tankards, handing one to Scorpius. "Start your day off on the right foot!" He practically shoved it onto Scorpius's hands and then went off to join a game of Flip Cup, a Muggle drinking game that seemed to have recently caught on at Hogwarts.

Scorpius gingerly took a sip of his butterbeer before walking back down the stairs to his dormitory, the echoes of the party following him all the way to his own bed.

Where: Hogsmeade Station, as the students disembark the Hogwarts Express
When: September 1, 2018 (second year)

"You go on ahead, I'll be right behind you!" Albus insisted, pulling one arm into his school robes - he and Scorpius had been talking so animatedly, catching up on their summers spent apart, that they'd failed to notice when the Hogwarts Express had begun to slow. Scorpius had noticed first, just as the train was slowing to a crawl, and both boys had begun pulling out their school robes and ties and hurried to get changed. The blonde had beaten Alby to it, snapping his trunk shut just as Alby had found his tie, buried at the bottom of his trunk. (He thought now that maybe he should've listened to his mother, when she'd told him to fold his things neatly when packing, and not just throw everything into the trunk in a jumble.)

Scorpius paused a moment, but nodded, stepping out of the compartment as Alby tried to find the other armhole - only to realize that was the hood, and rolled his eyes, finally pushing his arm through the correct opening and hurriedly looping his tie around his neck, frowning in concentration as he tried to do it up properly. He couldn't get it quite right, but it was getting later and by the time he'd gotten it into some semblance of the correct position, the car was mostly silent around him, and Alby hoped he hadn't kept Scorpius waiting too long. He pulled open the compartment door, bounding down the hallway and down the steps, not realizing that he was headed straight for the rather large, square back of Barnard Bloxam, one of the beaters on the Slytherin House Team, until he'd already crashed into the sixth year with an "Oof!"

The older boy turned around, looking for a moment above Alby's head, until he glanced down with a sneer at the second year, who was looking rather dazed from the meeting of nose and backbone. "Well, if it isn't Potter, the little Slytherin who couldn't," he said, as the two friends accompanying him turned around as well, glaring down at Alby. "Watch where you're going, worm," Barnard said, shoving at Alby's shoulder with a large hand. "You don't belong here, don't remind us that you are." Alby stumbled back a few steps, barely keeping his balance, frowning. He hadn't meant to bump into the older boy! Just because he was the sole Potter who'd ever been in Slytherin, that didn't mean he intentionally bumped into people!

[OOC: Aaand that was a bit long. ::dies:: I would say actually give me one more tag to have Alby (try to) fight back a bit; so maybe have your first tag where Scorpius notices that Alby's being bullied and approaches, but doesn't do anything just yet?]

Where: The Hogwarts Express
When: September 1, 2017 (first year)

Scorpius pulled the compartment door shut and settled down. His father had helped him stow his things, and Scorpius gave his parents one last good bye wave before steam obscured the view of the platform and the Hogwarts Express eased its way out of King's Cross Station. Pulling his brand new bookbag from under his seat, Scorpius opened it and found that his mother had slipped him a couple of fresh meat buns for the journey, wrapped in some foil and charmed with a warming spell. When his mother had managed that sleight of hand Scorpius didn't know, but he was thankful and realized with a twinge that he was going to miss her, he was going to miss his Dad, and most of all he was going to miss his grandparents and their cave home carved into the mountains in China, where had spent a good deal of his time as a kid. Thinking that he was all grown-up now, Scorpius blinked back some tears and decided to take his mind of his already burgeoning homesickness by pulling out the book he'd saved for the train ride, a fantasy novel about a famous Chinese alchemist and adventurer set in the 12th century.

The compartment he sat in was empty, a small thing tucked in the back of the last train car, a little off to the side and right next to the toilet. It was probably the least desirable compartment on the Hogwarts Express, which meant to Scorpius that he was the one who probably wanted it most. Pausing in his reading, Scorpius let his eyes flit over the green countryside and the gray, cloudy day, thinking that despite his blond hair and fair skin, he was still a bit of a stranger in this country, and briefly wondered whether the Sorting Hat would put him in Ravenclaw or Slytherin.

His Malfoy grandparents wanted him in Slytherin of course, as per the pride of their lineage. His mother and father had both been from Slytherin too, but Scorpius found that he really didn't care which house he was sorted into, as long as the students there left him alone when he wanted to be left alone. Scorpius had barely flipped to the next page of his novel when the loud slam of the opening compartment door startled him and he looked up from his page at the boy who'd just disturbed his reading. Scorpius pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose in a very adult manner he'd seen his mother do occasionally when she was cross, and stared silently at the intruder.
